Dormady, Brahmas fall in UFL’s championship game

Boerne High graduate Quinten Dormady and the San Antonio Brahmas finished second in the United Football League this season.

The Birmingham Stallions defeated the Brahmas in Sunday’s UFL’s Championship Game held in St. Louis.

It’s the third straight spring title for the Stallions after they won Sunday’s game, 25-0.

Birmingham has also captured the last two USFL championships before the league merged with XFL earlier this year.

San Antonio ended this season with a record of 7-3.

Dormady played in seven games and started six of them. He entered Sunday’s championship game late and led the team on a promising drive but it stalled near the Stallions’ 10-yard line and the Brahmas didn’t score after going for it on 4th and long.

For the season. Dormady competed 103 of 173 attempts for 59.5 percent and 1,206 yards to go with 6 touchdowns. He averaged 172 yards per game and went 6 for 9 for 58 yards in Sunday’s championship game.
