The Geneva School of Boerne finished third in the TAPPS 4A Henderson Cup standings for the 2023-24 school year.
The Henderson Cup is awarded by TAPPS to schools in the six classifications that scores the most points during the year in competitive arts, academic and athletic events sponsored by TAPPS.
Geneva finished third with 85.5 points but had the most points in fine arts with 40.
The Eagles tallied 45.5 points in athletics with 28 points coming from girls athletes and 17.5 points earned on the boys side.
Brentwood Christian School from Austin won this year’s Henderson Cup with 92 points and Cypress Christian School from the Houston area placed second with 87 points.
Of the 40 points earned in fine arts, 6 came from academics, 8 from art, 8 from band, 10 from orchestra and 8 from vocal.
In athletics, the Eagles earned 4 points from baseball, 4 from basketball, 4 from football, 2 from golf, 1.5 from tennis and 2 from soccer for its 17.5 boys points.
The Geneva girls tallied 6 points in girls basketball, 1 from golf, 4 from softball, 1 from swim, 6 from tennis, 2 from volleyball and 8 from soccer.
In girls soccer and basketball, the girls made it to the state tournament to help the Lady Eagles earn their 28 points.
Geneva didn’t win the Henderson Cup this year, but they have had success in TAPPS competitions over the years and claimed 10 Henderson Cups in the past.
The school has won the Henderson Cup three times as a TAPPS 4A school (2017-18, 2018-19, 2022-2023), twice as a TAPPS 3A school (2014-15, 2015-16), twice as a 2A school (2012-13, 201314) and three times as a 1A school (2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12).
