A putting clinic was held Thursday morning on the recently completed putting greens at The Center in Boerne.
David Murrah, PGA Life Member and golf teaching professional and Boerne resident with 31 years of teaching experience, helped lead the clinic that took place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Patrons at The Center work on their putting skills. The greens at The Center are open to the public from sunup to sundown and are free to use.
The event at The Center was to present the basic, fundamentals of a good, consistent putting method.
This is the first of many more clinics to follow and was held at the newly constructed practice green built by Infinity Greens, owned and operated by Phillip Turturro of Boerne.
The project was funded by The City of Boerne and The Center. After the clinic, everyone enjoy Arnold Palmers and snacks and was able to ask questions about the design and cost of the practice green and about how to become a better putter.
The Center is a local non-profit serving adults in the Boerne area that are 55 years and older by keeping them engaged through socialization, fitness and nutrition.
The putting green is open to the public from sunup to sundown.
