Geneva School of Boerne had two athletes compete at the TAPPS 4A state track and field meet last weekend and one of them returned to Boerne with some hardware, while another finished fourth and just missed out on a state medal.
Brady Chandler placed 2nd in pole vault after he cleared 13-6. Gavin Snyder won the event after he went 15-6.
Chandler earned 8 points to help the Eagles place 18th in the final team standings where at least 26 teams scored a point.
Geneva’s Grace Detterick finished 4th in the girls 800 with a time of 2:28.45 and missed out on a medal by a few seconds.
Detterick scored 5 team points to help the girls team finish tied for 22nd in the state.
