Voters in Fair Oaks Ranch want their roads repaired and voted as such, as two city bond issues were approved Saturday by large margins.
Proposition A on the Fair Oaks ballot grants the city $16 million to reconstruct four major thoroughfares in town. Voters passed it with more than a 2-to-1 approval, 651-288, a 69%-31% margin.
Stretches of Dietz Elkhorn Road, Battle Intense, Rolling Acres Trail and Ammann Road will be torn up and rebuilt once the bonds are sold, bids are let and construction begins.
Proposition B allows the city to continue a one-fourth of 1% draw on local sales and use tax to provide maintenance and repair for the municipality’s streets. Prop B passed by an even wider margin, 785-158, an 83%-17% approval.
