The Boerne Police Department will honor fallen K-9 Officer Chico at a memorial service to be held May 6 at 1910 Church.
The public service will begin at 10 a.m. at 1910 Church, 130 Sisterdale Road in Boerne.
K-9 Chico was hit by a vehicle and killed in the line of duty during an April 10 traffic stop.
The Police Department previously held an Honor Walk April 14, during which K-9 Chico was transported by police escort to New Braunfels for cremation.
In lieu of flowers or physical donations, the department asks that contributions be made to the Boerne Police Foundation in memory of K-9 Chico.
