Boerne ISD basketball players in all-star games

Aaron named MVP in two different games

SAN ANTONIO — Several Boerne ISD athletes competed in two different all-star basketball games last weekend and one of them earned MVP honors in the two game she played.

Boerne High’s Averi Aaron competed in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Game held Sunday at Northside Gym and also played in the Chicken Express All-Star contest Saturday in Fredericksburg and was selected as the MVP in both games.

Aaron finished with 30 points in the Chicken Express game and tied the record for most points scored in the girls contest and followed that up with 21 points in the inaugural SA Sports Game.

Aaron earned a $500 scholarship for her efforts in Fredericksburg.

Greyhound Abby Smith also competed in both games, BHS’s Sam Holland played in both boys games for former Spur Bruce Bowen, while teammate Luke Fox was in the Chicken Express contest.

Champion’s Adriana Barreiro competed in the Chicken Express contest, while Briggs Jones and Mason Wyatt played in the boys game in Fredericksburg.

Charlie Georgelos was the lone Champion representative in the SA Sports All-Star Game on Sunday and was a starter.
