The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. FEB. 28

7:35 a.m., 2000 block of Grand Loop – A caller reported his vehicle had been stolen during the night. The caller had a tracker on the vehicle and requested law enforcement go to the location where the vehicle was pinging.

8:30 a.m., 100 block of Johns Road – A male came into the Boerne emergency room, saying he had been hit by a vehicle while he was skateboarding. The male provided a description of the vehicle.

12:24 p.m., 600 block of W. Bandera Road – A male driver was swerving into the caller’s lane, then stopped and started swearing at the caller.

3:50 p.m., 1400 block of E. Blanco Road – A caller reported that juveniles were hiding drugs after school near the location.

FEB. 29

2:37 a.m., 50 block of FM 474 – A horse went for a midnight jaunt and was making its way into town. Someone passing by attempted to trap him, but the horse was determined to get in his early-morning steps.

5:47 a.m., Elm Street/River Road – A caller was concerned about a vehicle with out-of-state plates that was sitting at the corner with its lights on.

9:15 a.m., Bandera Road/Interstate 10 – A caller reported his license plate had been stolen from his truck.

3:26 p.m., 400 block of Rosewood Avenue – A child was dropped off by the bus at her old apartment complex and the child was upset. Boerne ISD transport and the child’s mother were contacted.

4:35 p.m., 300 block of River Road – A caller suspected a minivan had fake tags. The caller reported where the vehicle was going.

MARCH 1

1:13 a.m., mile marker 540, E. Interstate 10 – A consent search was conducted on a truck pulling a trailer without a light.

10:50 a.m., 100 block of City Lake Road – A woman called in to report that she had locked her keys in her car. The caller was concerned because her dog was in the vehicle.

11:59 a.m., 1500 block of S. Main Street – A caller wanted to report that a customer had stolen money from the location. 12:59 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported a 10-gallon gas can on the side of the road that had spilled. Boerne FD came to the location and cleared the scene.

2:15 p.m., 100 block of W. Blanco Road – A caller reported that a bottle of prescription medicine had been stolen from his vehicle the previous week.

He requested security footage from the location where he was parked.

2:49 p.m., 200 block of Maxwell Drive – A woman who had started online dating felt like she was being stalked by a man she had connected with. The woman had blocked him and then he created multiple other accounts to contact her.

5:12 p.m., 1500 block of S. Main Street – A cat got stuck in a car engine and the caller was worried about its safe removal. Animal control came to the location and freed the cat.

MARCH 2

4:07 a.m., 31000 block of W. I-10 – A vehicle advertised as being “For Sale” was reported for having its headlights on. Law enforcement found the vehicle was locked and unoccupied.

2:13 p.m., mile marker 539, W. I-10 – A large ball of wire blew into town and was wreaking havoc on the interstate traffic.

2:15 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main Street – A caller parked in a parking lot but could no longer locate her vehicle. The caller was concerned the vehicle had been stolen. Shortly after, the caller contacted dispatch and had located her vehicle.

4:03 p.m., 100 block of Crosspoint Road – A caller wanted to report his watch, valued at over $3,000, had been stolen.

7:10 p.m., 200 block of Sophia Circle – A house fire was quickly spreading to the next property. Luckily no one was in the house. Boerne FD, Bergheim FD and Leon Springs FD were called to extinguish the fire.

MARCH 3

10:10 a.m., 1400 block of S. Main Street – An employee reported that a window at the location had been shattered with no clear culprit.

12:13 p.m., 1000 block of Diamond Drive – A caller reported someone had been using her name to contact someone else.

4:58 p.m., 1200 block of S. Main Street – Two vehicles were involved in an accident. Both vehicle’s airbags had been deployed and the caller suspected they both needed wreckers. Boerne FD was called as one of the vehicles was smoking.

5:17 p.m., 100 block of City Lake Road – A caller reported an odd interaction with a group of men at the lake. Four guys had come up to the caller and his sister and blocked them from continuing on the sidewalk. The caller told dispatch the guys had also taken pictures of him and his sister.

MARCH 4

7:54 a.m., 100 block of Staffel Street – A caller reported someone had broken a window.

8:43 a.m., 200 block of River Road – A caller reported strange bubbling in the water. He was told there were aerators to assist the fish.

2:14 p.m., at Main Plaza - A caller reported a male was unhooking wires and messing with the electrical boxes but was not wearing any type of service uniform. Law enforcement came to the location and found the male was using the boxes to charge his phone.

6:08 p.m., 100 block of Indigo Bend – A caller reported he could smell gas and informed dispatch that the pipe might be corroded. Boerne FD came to the location and did find a gas leak.

10:52 p.m., 300 block of Bentwood Drive – A caller reported she was home alone but one of her lights kept going off and on. Law enforcement checked out the residence and found that it was a candle warmed that was causing the abnormality.

FEB. 28

8:07 a.m., North Creek Road/I-10 – A caller was concerned about a suspicious 18-wheeler on the side of the road. The caller said the driver was outside of the vehicle and kicking dirt. Law enforcement contacted the driver who explained that everything was OK and that he had gotten out of his vehicle to take a picture for his insurance.

9:31 a.m., 100 block of FM 1376 – San Angelo PD notified local law enforcement of a phone pinging in the area that was connected to a missing child case. Law enforcement was able to locate the child and the perpetrator was detained.

12:48 p.m., on Voss Parkway – A caller reported a burning smell in the teachers’ lounge. Boerne FD was called to the location. A burnt bag of popcorn was located to be the possible culprit.

1:23 p.m., 100 block of Spike Rush Lane – A caller wanted to report someone purchased an iPhone using the caller’s name and email address.

1:53 p.m., 400 block of Meadow Lane – A caller reported he had let his girlfriend borrow his vehicle for two months. However, the relationship had since ended and the now ex-girlfriend is refusing to return the vehicle.

FEB. 29

1:32 p.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A vehicle with a stolen license plate was reported in the area.

5:01 p.m., 50000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported she had lost $200 over Facebook Marketplace.

5:28 p.m., 500 block of E. Highway 46 – A caller reported her ex-boyfriend had begun harassing her over the phone. The caller explained this was not the first time this had happened, and it had become an ongoing issue.

9:22 p.m., mile marker 524, E. I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle was going the wrong way on the interstate, resulting in a head-on collision. One of the parties involved complained of a chest injury. One of the male drivers was taken to jail.

11:37 p.m., 1500 block of River Road – Despite its association as being the soccer mom car, a suspicious minivan was reported.

MARCH 1

2:19 a.m., 5100 block of Ranger Creek Road – A vehicle reported as stolen was pinging at coordinates in Kendall County.

10:54 a.m., 100 block of Besito – A caller reported four women were harassing the caller while she was at work.

1:18 p.m., 900 block of Waring- Welfare Road – A goat was in the roadway, expecting its Uber ride into town for lunch.

3:11 p.m., 40 block of Walnut Grove Road – A vehicle crashed into a ditch, resulting in damage to the property owner’s fence.

4:30 p.m., mile marker 545, I-10 – Five vehicles were involved in an accident. A witness reported that one vehicle rear-ended another vehicle which rear-ended another vehicle, etc. Luckily, there were no injuries reported and only one vehicle required a tow truck.

MARCH 2

12:34 a.m., 400 block of Holiday Road – A cabin was reported on fire with the suspected cause being the oven. Comfort FD and Sisterdale FD were called to the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished.

4:03 a.m., 100 block of Live Oak Street – A caller reported a female behind his residence was yelling. The caller said the woman might be on drugs.

9:23 a.m., 800 block of FM 289 – A woman reported an asphalt truck had dumped some of its load in an area it wasn’t supposed to.

10:25 a.m., 1100 block of Fifth Street – A caller reported a fox had gotten stuck in the fence of a hen house.

MARCH 3

12:19 a.m., 30 block of Herff Road – A vehicle was reported to have crashed into a tree. The male driver was trapped between the steering wheel and the door. The male was taken to the emergency room for medical care.

4:01 p.m., 1100 block of FM 1376 – A caller reported that she had been told that there were five or six people on a bridge on her property. Law enforcement contacted the people, told them it was private property and they left without issue.

8:40 p.m., 40 block of Spanish Pass Road – A caller was concerned about a truck that had been circling the area for 30-40 minutes. Law enforcement was unable to locate the vehicle.

10:14 p.m., 20 block of FM 1376 – An individual was detained after a traffic stop.

MARCH 4

10:10 a.m., 100 block of W. Highway 46 – A caller reported his tools had been stolen. He had last seen the tools prior to Christmas and was unsure who had taken them.

2:01 p.m., 1200 block of Fifth Street – A caller reported a pickup truck had dropped a bag of household trash on the caller’s property. The caller requested a criminal trespass warning citation.

6:23 p.m., 1600 block of River Road – A company reported that there were people trespassing on the location. The company was concerned because they couldn’t contact the property owners. It turned out it to be employees at the location.

7:09 p.m., on Sky Rose Ranch – A caller reported someone let her horses out. The caller had the incident on video camera and informed dispatch of the details.

7:12 p.m., mile marker 524, E. I-10 – A vehicle flipped over, leaving a lot of debris on the interstate. The driver was inside the vehicle and was attempting to get out. Luckily, the driver didn’t appear to have any injuries.
