Boerne boys soccer stays perfect this year 41
The Boerne High boys soccer team remained undefeated this year after the Greyhounds clipped Canyon Lake Friday on the road.
Boerne is 11-0 overall and 4-0 in district. Friday’s win was their third straight shutout in 26-4A this year and takes their district winning streak to 41 straight victories.
The Greyhounds looked to make it 42 when they visited Wimberley to close out the first round of district Tuesday.
BHS begins the second round of district play Tuesday, Feb. 27, when the Greyhounds visit Fredericksburg. Boerne is off this Friday after their Wimberley match.
In Friday’s match against the Hawks, Boerne had four goals from four different players after Brett Hettie, Justin Bain, Gabe Sallick and Liam Griffiths all knocked in single goals.
Hettie also recorded two assists, while Austin Vecino had one assist in the match.
