Champion boys soccer ends first round of league play with victory

The Boerne Champion boys soccer team picked up a road win Tuesday to close out the first round of District 26-5A action.

Champion was at Seguin and mauled the Matadors, 6-1. The Chargers improved its district record to 3-2-2.

The Chargers are 8-2-2 overall and began the second round of district Friday with a trip to Wagner. They are home Tuesday to host Veterans Memorial.
