Fredericksburg may be struggling in boys basketball and only has three wins in District 27-4A this year, but that didn’t stop the Billies from putting up a good fight Tuesday night at Greyhound Gym against the Boerne boys.
They are rivals after all and it was only a two-point game at halftime before the Greyhounds pulled away with a strong second half.
BHS recorded the 56-40 win after they outscored the Billie over the final two quarters, 30-16.
Boerne High improves to 10-0 in district and moves its district win streak to 47. The Hounds are 27-5 overall and hosted Davenport Friday before closing out the regular season at Bandera on Tuesday.
Davenport was only one game behind Boerne in the standings at 9-1, so the No. 1 seed was on the line Friday.
