The Boerne High boys soccer team opened district action Monday night in Boerne just like they closed out the non-district portion of its schedule — with a 4-1 win.
BHS beat New Braunfels, 4-1, to close out non-district on Jan. 29, and then began 27-4A play Monday at home on Feb. 5, and also recorded a 4-1 victory.
Both 4-1 wins were on a Monday and both occurred at Charger Field, Boerne’s home away from home for this season since BISD Stadium is getting a minor facelift and the soccer teams won’t be able to play there.
Boerne stays perfect at 8-0 and is 1-0 in district. They were at Davenport Friday and host Bandera Monday at Champion, 7 p.m.
Liam Griffiths finished Monday’s match with two goals, while Felix Theiss and Brett Hettie added single goals.
Hudson Vickery recorded 2 assists, while Elian Arreola and Kolton Fischer had 1 assist each.
