Comfort traveled to Llano Friday for a boys basketball game and suffered a 68-37 setback at the hands of the Yellowjackets.
With the loss the Cats fall to 17-10 overall and 3-2 in District 5-3A play. They traveled to Blanco on Tuesday.
Llano had a fast start and was leading 21-6 at the end of the first quarter and then outscored the Bobcats in the second, 22-4, for the 43-10 halftime lead.
Comfort played better in the third and took the quarter 17-9 but still trailed 52-27 as the game went into the final stanza.
In the fourth, Llano closed it out by winning the quarter, 16-10.
Comfort had 29 turnovers — 25 of them were steals by Llano – which converted the 29 turnovers into 30 points.
Jaydin Steward led the Comfort team with 14 points, Santos Hernandez and Jovani Zapata both netted 6, Joel Lozano scored 4, Jared Valadez had 3, Terick Rodriguez tallied 2 and Aidan Schwarz and Jackson Dear both hit one free throw each.
Zapata dished out 3 assists, while Steward came up with 3 steals and 5 rebounds.
