Chargers play at Bev Ball Tournament in Abilene

Boerne Champion continued its volleyball season last weekend by playing at the Bev Ball Tournament in Abilene.

The Lady Chargers posted a 3-3 mark at the event and are 4-3 overall this season. Champion visited MacArthur Tuesday and will help to co-host the Boerne ISD Tournament this weekend.

In Abilene, the Chargers defeated Hawley, 22-25, 25-17, 25-20, beat Lubbock Coronado, 23-25, 25-20, 25-18 and then swept Paradise, 25-18, 25-16.

Their three losses came to Wall, 25-16, 25-22, Abilene High and Burleson, 18-25, 28-26, 25-17.

The Chargers made the championship bracket but went 0-2 Saturday and nobody was named to the all-tournament team according to coach Kelly McDaniel.
