LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff ’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. JULY 05
7:10 a.m., 100 Blk. Norris – A caller with a construction site reported that someone had dumped several bags of trash at the location.
8:21 a.m., 100 Blk. Old San Antonio Rd. – A caller reported her ex-boyfriend had been banging on her door for the 20 minutes prior to her calling. She did not believe he had any weapons.
10:16 a.m., 800 Blk. Johns Rd. – A caller reported a vehicle had been broken into during the night.
10:55 a.m., 100 Blk. Falls Court – A caller reported a female who was sitting on a bench, across from the location, had been there for almost three hours. The female was approaching and talking to patients who were walking into the location.
11:00 a.m., Hwy 46/Coughran Rd. – A three-vehicle accident occurred. One of the occupants reported experiencing neck pain. Another occupant reported a cut on her arm. One of the involved vehicles was in the road, leaking fluid, with the airbags deployed. EMS was contacted for medical services. Tow trucks were called for the vehicles.
10:38 p.m., 300 Blk. Deer Creek – A caller reported that a male was on the caller’s porch, yelling at the caller. The male was upset at the caller for reporting his dogs to Animal Control for biting. While he was on the phone with dispatch, the angry male drove away.
JULY 06
7:54 a.m., School/San Antonio W. – A caller reported a white vehicle sitting in a cleared-out area by an intersection. The caller could see someone inside the vehicle and was concerned.
8:38 a.m., 100 Blk. Coleto Creek – A concerned caller reported sending photos of a sexual nature to an individual. The individual was then trying to extort money from the caller, or the individual threatened to leak the photos.
9:16 a.m., 200 W. Bandera – A caller reported a male had exposed himself to a store employee in the drive-thru. The caller had video surveillance of the incident.
12:59 p.m., 1300 Blk. S. Main – An employee reported they were about to apprehend a female who had not scanned her items at the self-checkout. The phone went dead before the female was apprehended. The female was detained but had taken drugs and needed to be medically examined before going to jail.
6:43 p.m., Johns/School – A two-vehicle accident occurred. The caller reported that she hit her head and requested EMS services. One of the vehicles was able to be driven out of the roadway. The other vehicle required a wrecker.
JULY 07
10:07 a.m., 700 Blk. Oak Park – A caller reported that she was being harassed by her husband via text message.
10:33 a.m., 100 Blk. Enterprise – A concerned caller initially reported a white van with two men walking in and out of a vacant lot for the 30 minutes prior to the call. While on the phone with dispatch, the caller realized the males may be the painters and told dispatch to disregard the call.
2:32 p.m., Bandera/I-10 – A two-vehicle accident occurred that blocked the road. One of the vehicle occupants reported experiencing pain in both legs. EMS was called to provide medical assistance. Two tow trucks were called for the respective vehicles.
3:36 p.m., 31000 Blk. W I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle had been stolen sometime in the prior month.
6:17 p.m., 1300 Blk. S. Main St. – A hit-and-run accident occurred. The caller experienced heavy front-end damage to their vehicle. The caller provided dispatch with information regarding the vehicle that hit them.
11:41 p.m., 540 MM W I-10 – A probable cause search occurred during a routine traffic stop. EMS was called to provide medical assistance to the officer. The individual was detained and subsequently taken to jail.
JULY 08
8:54 a.m., 1300 Blk. Main – A caller reported a vehicle had been parked in the parking lot for a couple of weeks. The caller told dispatch that he had knocked on the windows of the vehicle, but no one answered. The windows of the vehicle had been covered.
12:36 p.m., 400 Blk. S. Main – A caller reported that a hit-and-run incident had occurred an hour prior to the call. Luckily there were no injuries; however, the caller did not have any information on the other vehicle.
2:56 p.m., 200 Blk. Latigo – A caller reported her residency had been broken into, with the door being damaged. The caller suspected it was her husband, who had checked out of rehab the prior evening.
5:32 p.m., 100 Blk. Crosspoint – A caller reported that a male was punching the window of a pickup. The caller noted the pickup was occupied. The male appeared to be upset and began running around, punching trees and then removed his shirt. The male left the location and the caller told dispatch which direction he went.
8:48 p.m., 100 Blk. Old San Antonio Rd. – A caller reported a suspicious vehicle was parked in the front parking lot of the location for several minutes. The vehicle then drove to the back, and then to the dumpster before lingering in the parking lot for a while.
JULY 09
1:26 a.m., 100 Blk. City Lake – A caller reported seeing green and white lights coming from the lake.
2:24 p.m., 400 Blk. W Bandera Rd. – A store employee called in to report a female shoplifter who had been detained.
4:48 p.m., 400 Blk. English Oaks – A caller reported that his son had a python and an anaconda in a cage. As these snakes are not native to Texas, Animal Control needed to contact the game warden to keep them informed of the matter.
5:31 p.m., 535 MM E. I-10 – A concerned caller reported a vehicle was closely following her. The vehicle had no markings (indicating it was law enforcement) but kept signaling for the caller to pull over. The caller also said every time she switched lanes, the vehicle followed. She provided the vehicle’s information to dispatch.
6:06 p.m., 500 Blk. E. Blanco – A foil balloon hit power lines and subsequently caused a grass fire. The caller attempted to extinguish the fire. Boerne FD was also called to the scene.
JULY 10
2:44 a.m., 100 Blk. Menger Springs – A caller reported he had been shot at during a car meet near downtown San Antonio. The caller reported having two wounds in his chest and that he “needed to report it.” Because it was not in Boerne PD jurisdiction, SAPD was contacted.
6:29 a.m., 400 Blk. N. Main – A caller reported getting stuck on the elevator between floors two and three. Boerne FD was contacted to handle the matter.
9:42 a.m., 1100 Blk. River – A caller reported a resident who was yelling and “out of control”. The caller said the resident had pushed the caller earlier; however, it was not severe enough for EMS services.
11:15 a.m., 34000 Blk. E. I-10 – A caller, a guest at the hotel, reported that someone had hit her vehicle during the night.
3:45 p.m., 500 Blk. Oak Park – A caller said he thought nearby construction builders were dumping items on his property. The caller believed the builders were trespassing on his property in order to dump the items.
10:32 p.m., 800 Blk. Adler – A caller reported a large piece of machinery in a field had its alarm and lights going off. The caller was concerned that someone was attempting to steal the machinery. Law enforcement examined the area and did not find any criminal activity.
JULY 11
8:37 a.m., 100 Blk. Market – A caller reported he had been threatened, and the individual had said he paid the caller’s wife a visit. At the time, the caller’s wife was unable to get ahold of his wife. Eventually the caller’s wife was contacted, and everything was okay. The individual who made the threat was located and detained.
11:28 a.m., 100 Blk. Elm – A caller reported two subjects walking around someone’s backyard. While speaking with dispatch, the subjects left the location. The caller got photos of them prior to their departure. The caller told dispatch the owner of the property had passed away and no one should be there.
11:51 a.m., 32000 Blk. E. I-10 – A caller reported her vehicle had been at a car dealership for five days. The caller told dispatch that when she got her vehicle back, her firearm was missing.
3:13 p.m., Herff/Old San Antonio – A subject was detained after a probable cause search during a routine traffic stop. The subject’s vehicle had to be towed.
5:07 p.m., 537 MM E. I-10 – A caller reported a driver had threatened to throw something at the caller. The driver then began following the caller as she drove away. The driver recorded the caller and kept braking as they were driving. The caller pulled over and lost sight of the other vehicle as it passed.
10:10 p.m., Bandera/I-10 – A vehicle ran a red light and crashed into the caller’s vehicle. No injuries occurred. One of the vehicle’s airbags deployed and the occupant needed EMS for a rib cage pain. One of the vehicles required a wrecker.
JULY 07
3:29 a.m., N. Hwy 87 – A concerned caller reported heavy smoke coming out of a truck and was concerned about the potential of a fire. Contact was made with the truck driver, who explained it was normal and just burning off gas.
9:09 a.m., Spencer Rd. – A caller wanted to file embezzlement charges.
1:30 p.m., 1700 Blk. Cordillera Trace – A caller wanted to report a phone scam in which the caller asked for money. The caller explained to dispatch she also wanted it documented that her husband had given someone access to personal computers which contained personal information on them.
7:33 p.m., 100 Blk. Dodge Rd. – A caller reported receiving threatening text messages. The individual was threatening to post naked pictures of the caller. The caller told dispatch they did not know who the individual could be.
10:32 p.m., 300 Blk. Waterstone Pkwy. – A resident reported a house in the area that was shooting off large fireworks. The caller was worried due to the time and the fire hazard aspect. Law enforcement was unable to locate the individual setting them off.
11:34 p.m., N. Hwy 87 – A caller reported an employes had received threatening phone calls and texts. In these texts and phone calls, the individual was threatening to kill the employee. The individual was making threats because the employee was sleeping with his wife. Law enforcement investigated the matter and found it to be a scam.
JULY 08
1:16 a.m., 600 Blk. N. School – A concerned caller reported a male with an electronic device being followed by four other males. Law enforcement was unable to locate the individuals. The caller saw law enforcement drive by and called in again to tell them that the individuals must have hidden from law enforcement.
10:58 a.m., 545 MM W. I-10 – A caller reported a hand sticking out of a truck bed. The caller told dispatch that it did not appear to be a mannequin hand and it appeared to be moving.
3:40 p.m., N. Hwy 87 – A caller reported that her daughter, who is a minor, had been inappropriately touched by an older male while at work. A different caller reported that two males came into the location and threatened the older male.
3:41 p.m., N. Hwy 87 – A caller reported that money had been stolen from his mother. The mother told dispatch that she had dropped an envelope containing $400. She later went back to the location, reviewed the surveillance footage and was able to recognize the individual who took the money. The caller knew the individual and was making contact with her in order to get the money returned.
4:33 p.m., Tower Rd/Connally Way – A caller at the HAM radio tower reported a male who had left the location and threatened to come back with a gun. This was not the first time there had been issues with the individual, but he had never identified himself. Because of the threats made, the caller requested law enforcement come to the location.
6:24 p.m., 100 Blk. Blue Ridge – A employee reported that they had dealt with several issues with vandalism over the prior two days. The employee told dispatch that the main water lines had been turned off, the breaker box had been hit, and someone had clogged the men’s restroom.
JULY 09
12:40 a.m., 200 Blk.. Wall St – A caller reported that the windows at his father’s friend’s house had been broken. An additional caller reported that she had received a call from her husband, accusing her of damaging the trailer. The woman also reported that her husband’s brother had made threats that he was going to kill her son.
10:22 a.m., Zinfandel – This caller did not have time to stop and smell the roses when he reported to dispatch that he had shot a skunk.
12:43 p.m., Hwy 46/Thunder Valley Rd. – A caller requested assistance regarding a buck that was tangled up in barbwire.
3:44 p.m., 100 Blk W. Bandera Rd. – A caller reported a tall male who was yelling, cutting wires off electronic devices, and kicking shopping carts. Law enforcement discovered that the male was an employee at the location.
5:35 p.m., Hwy 46 E/Cordillera – A caller reported a pickup truck with its hazard lights on, driving onto the shoulder of the road, not going the speed limit. An additional caller reported that they had spoken with the driver, after witnessing him almost cause a head-on collision, and the driver appeared to be intoxicated, even admitting he shouldn’t be driving. Law enforcement and EMS made contact with the driver and found him to be possibly dehydrated. An ambulance was called to the scene.
8:50 p.m., 500 Blk. Sunflower – A caller reported people by the pool area who were barbecuing and smoking weed. Law enforcement came to the location and did not find any drug usage.
JULY 10
11:12 a.m., Hwy 46 E/Sage Oaks Trail – A male was detained after a probable cause search was conducted during a routine traffic stop.
3:12 p.m., 900 Blk. Front St. – A driver reported he ran over the manhole cover while going to get gas and it hit the bottom of his vehicle. He explained he was contacting law enforcement because he believed the cover was out of regulation. Law enforcement noted that it appeared the driver’s vehicle had lowered suspension.
4:08 p.m., 600 Blk W. Bandera – A truck battery was reported to be on fire. They attempted to extinguish the fire with two fire extinguishers, but the vehicle was still smoking. Boerne FD came to the scene and the fire was extinguished.
4:20 p.m., 400 Blk. Red Oak – A caller reported theft of service from a moving company the caller had hired.
4:33 p.m., Trails End Road – A caller reported that her packages had been stolen.
JULY 11
4:26 a.m., 700 Blk. South St. – The owner of the store, who was alone, called in after she heard the front door open. The owner hung up the call in order to lock one of the location’s doors. Law enforcement came to the location and did not locate anyone other than the owner.
6:27 a.m., 30000 Blk. E. I-10 – A FedEx truck’s trailer’s back tire was reported to be on fire. The driver disconnected the trailer from the vehicle. Boerne FD was contacted, and two lanes of the interstate were temporarily closed. Boerne FD successfully extinguished the fire. A wrecker was called for the trailer.
7:29 a.m., 200 Blk. Waring Welfare – A caller wanted to report an instance of vandalism that had occurred during the night. The caller also reported that the individual had injured the caller’s horse.
10:42 a.m., 1000 Blk. Kendall Jackson – A resident reported that a male on an ATV came onto her property. The male told the resident that he could do what he wanted because the resident did not have signs up. Law enforcement spoke with both parties and told the male to stay off the homeowner’s properties.
1:09 p.m., N. Hwy. 87 – A caller reported that a customer brought in their vehicle to be repaired and then left with the vehicle before paying for the services.
8:52 p.m., 100 Blk. Blue Ridge – A caller reported that her travel trailer had been broken into. The caller told dispatch someone had told her it was her ex-husband.
