The Geneva School of Boerne girls soccer team is headed back to the state tournament after the Eagles won the regional title on Friday.

Geneva defeated Cypress Christian School in Giddings last Friday, 6-0, and will play in the TAPPS Final Four this week in Round Rock Thursday, 10 a.m.

Geneva plays Schertz John Paul II and the winner of that match tangles with the winner of the McKinney Christian Academy and The Covenant School – Dallas contest on Friday at 10 a.m. for the state championship.

Alex Doran led the Eagles in the regional match and finished with a hat trick after she recorded 3 goals, while Hayle Heinen, Trinity Cloud and Maggie Chisholm all tallied 1 goal apiece.

STATE SEMIFINALS

Geneva plays Schertz John Paul II on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the TAPPS state semifinals. The winner plays Friday for the state title at 10 a.m.
