The Geneva School of Boerne swim team was in action at the TAPPS Central Regional meet in San Antonio recently and had several swimmers qualify for state after their strong performances.
At regionals, the Geneva girls team came in 7th with 80 points and the boys were 11th with 53 points. In the combined team scoring, the Eagles finished 8th with 133 points.
The top three will head to the TAPPS state meet.
RESULTS
Haylee Parnell was 1st in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18 and Will Crews was 9th in the boys 100 breaststroke with a 1:27.
In the 100 free, Reid Wilson came in 2nd after recording a 56.07, and in the 100 backstroke, Luke Horton was 4th with a time of 1:10 and Sam Siller was 10th after touching the ball in 1:22.
The girls 200-yard freestyle relay consisting of Haylee Parnell, Malyn Arnold, Alexandria Bussey and Abigail Bussey took 1st with a time of 1:57 and the boys 200 free relay of Luke Horton, Sam Siller, Jack Taylor and Reid Wilson came in 2nd after turning in a 1:45, while Abigail Bussey finished 2nd in the 100 back with a time of 1:08 and Jack Taylor was 4th in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.69.
In the 100 girls free, Abigail Bussey took 1st in a time of 58.71, Haylee Parnell came in 3rd with a 1:01, Malyn Arnold was 7th in 1:08 and Alexandria Bussey finished 8th in 1:13.
Alexandria Bussey finished 3rd in the 200 free after clocking in at 2:32, while Reid Wilson placed 2nd in the boys 200 IM with a time of 2:21 and Luke Horton was 6th with a time of 2:33.
In the girls 50 free, Malyn Arnold came in 6th after recording a 29.56 and Raquel Moerdyk claimed 8th place after she touched the wall in a time of 30.46.
Also, the girls 200-yard medley relay of Abigail Bussey, Haylee Parnell, Raquel Moerdyk and Malyn Arnold captured 1st place with a time of 2:08 and the boys medley relay of Luke Horton, Will Crews, Reid Wilson and Jack Taylor came in 3rd with a time of 2:02.
