The Boerne High boys soccer team is the defending 4A state champs and they’re playing like it after they rolled past another district opponent on Friday.
BHS hosted Canyon Lake and hammered the Hawks, 11-0. The Hounds improve to 4-0 in 26-4A and are 12-2-1 overall. The BHS boys take on Great Hearts Northern Oaks Tuesday on the road and are back at home to host Bandera.
Tuesday’s match with Great Hearts Northern Oaks is part of a doubleheader with the BHS girls team. The girls play at 5 p.m. and the boys begin at 7 p.m., with both matches at the Classic Elite Academy Fields.
Sam Theiss, Landon Murphy and Juan Castro finished with 2 goals each, Justin Moore, Adrian Cuervo, Bear Kelly and Hudson Stevens all recorded 1 goal and the Hawks had an own goal.
Theiss also finished with 3 assists, Murphy and Kelly tallied 2 assists apiece, while Hudson Vickery and Moore both had single assists as 9 of the 11 goals were assisted.
