BHS girls soccer opens season 3-0

Boerne High opened its 2023 girls soccer season by participating in the Northside ISD Showcase Tournament where they won all three matches played.

Also, Madeline Davis and Lily Griffith were named to the all-tournament team.

The Lady Greyhounds improved to 3-0 and hosted Pleasanton on Tuesday before playing in the Southwest ISD Showcase Tournament this weekend that starts Thursday and continues through Saturday.

BHS opened with a 5-2 win over San Antonio Christian on Thursday. A’Marie Ramirez finished with 2 goals, while Hannah Bowen, Kailey Stringfellow and Madeline Davis all tallied 1 goal.

Kylie Combs and Avery Ukeiley both recorded 2 assists and Stringfellow had another.

On Friday, the Lady Hounds sprinted past Southwest, 7-1. Avery Ukeiley, Sophie Harper and Hannah Bowen all knocked in 2 goals and Kylie Combs finished with 1 goal.

Kailey Stringfellow recorded 2 assists, while Madeline Davis, A’Marie Ramirez and Combs all had 1 assist.

Boerne closed out the tournament on Saturday at Gus Stadium with a 3-0 win over NS Marshall. Kylie Combs knocked in 2 goals and Avery Ukeiley added 1 goal and 2 assists, while Taylor Hudson finished with 1 assist.
