Boerne High improved to 2-0 in district play after the Greyhounds defeated Navarro at home last Friday in boys basketball action.
The Hounds won Friday’s 27-4A contest, 69-37, and bumped its record to 17-5 overall. They were at Canyon Lake Tuesday and will host Fredericksburg on Friday.
BHS was up 25-5 after one and then doubled up the Panthers in the second, 16-8, for the 41-13 halftime lead.
Boerne put the game away in the third quarter by winning the period, 24-8, for the 65-21 advantage.
Navarro finished strong and took the fourth quarter, 16-4, to close out the game.
Trevor Agarwal led the Hounds with 14 points, Houston Hendrix added 11, Koen Wolff and Jaxon Baize scored 9 apiece, Colton Hoegemeyer finished with 8 points, Luke Fox scored 5, Barrett Pape and Sam Holland netted 4 apiece, Sam Waters scored 3 and Hutson Hendrix chipped in with 2 points.
Houston Hendrix paced the team on the boards with 8 rebounds and Pape dished out 4 assists.
Vs. Wimberley
Against Wimberley last week to open district, Houston Hendrix led the team with 15 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks, Barrett Pape added 12 points and Koen Wolff scored 11, while Trevor Agarwal had 7 points and Hutson Hendrix finished with 2, while Pape dished out 2 assists.
