The Boerne Champion boys swept all three opponents it faced at this year’s Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament.
Champion picked up wins over Bastrop, Flour Bluff and Gregory-Portland and improved to 18-1. The Chargers opened district play on Friday against New Braunfels Canyon.
Before the tournament, the Chargers defeated Sotomayor, 53-34, to give coach Chris Adamek his 400th career win.
Adamek’s accomplishment will be recognized before the start of Tuesday’s home district contest against Kerrville Tivy on Jan. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
The Chargers played two games on the first day of the tournament Tuesday and held both opponents to 42 points after they beat Bastrop, 85-42, and then foiled Flour Bluff, 51-42.
Champion returned on Wednesday for just one game and ganged up on Gregory-Portland, 61-31, to wrap up tournament play.
