The Boerne High boys went 4-0 at this year’s Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament held Tuesday and Wednesday.
BHS defeated Flour Bluff, Kerrville Tivy, Seguin and Gregory-Portland. The Greyhounds improved to 15-5 overall and won’t play again until Jan. 3 when they open district play on the road at Wimberley.
Boerne coach Kimble McHone said he would use some of the five days off as a mini boot camp to help get everybody on the same page.
The team recently welcomed six football players into the mix and is working on ironing out chemistry and everybody’s roles as they look a lot different than they did a few weeks ago before football season ended.
Boerne opened the tourney on Tuesday by rebuffing Flour Bluff, 55-42, and later in the day, the Greyhounds topped Tivy, 62-50.
The Hounds returned on Wednesday and slammed Seguin, 60-42, before closing out the tourney with a 57-31 victory over Gregory-Portland.
