Lady Hounds win all three games at BISD tournament

Boerne High won all three of its girls basketball games at this year’s Boerne ISD Holiday Tournament held Tuesday and Wednesday.

At the tourney, the Lady Greyhounds beat Floresville, Katy Taylor and Kerrville Tivy.

BHS improved its record to 19-1 and played Friday against San Marcos before resuming district play on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at home against Wimberley.

At the tourney, Boerne floored Floresville by 50 points, 77-27, took Taylor 63-40 and then closed it out by crushing Kerrville, 53-13.

Before that, the Lady Hounds defeated Incarnate Word, 54-30 and against the Lady Shamrocks, Chloe Donnell drained three 3s on her way to 13 points, Jamie Ruede also knocked down three 3s and finished with 13 points and Averi Aaron dropped in a dozen points.

Abby Smith chipped in with 6 points, Liz Fox netted 4, while Jenna Ruede and Savannah Salinas hit one 3-pointer apiece to finish with 3 points as the Lady Hounds made eight 3s in the game.
