Paul John Rendon

December 27, 1937 – December 23, 2022

Paul John Rendon, 84, of Boerne, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2022. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Holt & Holt Funeral Home, with a recitation of the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM, also at Holt & Holt Funeral Home. Committal will follow at a later date.

Paul was born December 27, 1937 in Blanco County, Texas to Dionisio and Romona Rendon. Paul (Dad) as he was known to many lost his parents at a very young age, he lived with his uncle Tiburcio until he was 15. At that time, he began working for a Ford Dealership for the next 14 years which gave him the foundation for his future career as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He worked for HB Zachary for 32 years throughout the State of Texas on many construction projects. He enjoyed watching old English and Spanish western movies, his favorite actor was John Wayne and his favorite musician was Vicente Fernandez. After he retired the creative part of him came out, he began creating Crucifixes of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which he gave to many family members and friends. He was a very well-respected member of our community and loved by many even beyond his family. When he was home he had his favorite spots to sit inside and outside the house. In summary, he will be missed and his memory will live within us forever.

He is survived by his wife, Della Rendon; his daughters, Paula Rendon, Allison (Victor) Hernandez, and Angie Pridgeon; his stepchildren, Laura (John) Syphers, Chris (Denise) Hernandez, Juanita (Rick) Santos, and Joe Hernandez; and his brothers and sisters, Henry Rendon, Butch (Helen) Rendon, Pauline Duffy, Maryann (Ed) Baldwin, Elia (Chuck) Ramirez, Loretta (Greg) Phillips, and Manuel Rendon, and Veronica (Tim) Eker. Paul had many nieces and nephews, as well as 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nasaria and Manuel Rendon, and his parents, Dionisio and Romona Rendon.
