Boerne High bumped its record to 16-1 overall after the girls basketball team defeated Incarnate Word Monday in San Antonio, 54-30.

It was Boerne’s second win over the Lady Shamrocks after the Lady Hounds also defeated them by 20 points (46-26) earlier in the year on their way to the championship in the SAISD tourney.

BHS is off until after Christmas and will help to co-host the Boerne ISD tournament this coming Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Lady Hounds play Floresville on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and face Katy Taylor later in the day at 3 p.m.

Boerne returns on Wednesday for one game at noon against Kerrville Tivy, while the Lady Chargers from Champion won’t even be playing in the tournament. The Lady Chargers will be in the Wimberley tourney on those days.
