The Comfort Deer traveled to Stockdale on Tuesday and suffered a 21-point defeat at the hands of the Lady Brahmas, 36-15.
With the loss, Comfort slips to 11-10 on the season. The Deer traveled to San Antonio on Friday to take on YWLA.
Stockdale pounced on the Deer in the first quarter, 9-2, and then outscored them in the second, 13-8, for the 22-10 halftime advantage.
Comfort just couldn’t get its offense in gear and the 8 points in the second was the most in any of the four quarters. They tallied 3 in the third and 2 in the fourth, while Stockdale finished with 11 in the third and 3 in the final stanza.
Bailey Feldman led the Deer with 6 of their 15 points, while Jael Hernandez, Katelyn Cook, Meghan Davis and Emily Rivera all tallied 2 and Katie Haffner made a free throw.
Jackie Zapata had a big game on the boards and grabbed 16 rebounds, Feldman snagged 10 boards and Davis collected 8 rebounds.
Feldman came up with 3 steals and Hernandez dished out 2 assists.
