Boerne High was entered in its first boys basketball tournament of the year last weekend when they took part in the Southwest ISD Tournament.
The Greyhounds went 3- 2 at the event and stand at 6- 2 overall. BHS hosted Brackenridge Tuesday and is also scheduled to play in the New Braunfels River City Classic hosted by New Braunfels High School this weekend.
Boerne opened the tourney with two games last Thursday and split the two. The Hounds played Stevens and lost 70-59 but rebounded later in the day to beat Del Rio, 63-35.
The Greyhounds returned on Friday and faced another powerhouse when they tangled with Dallas Carter and lost 66-40. Later in the day, the Hounds bounced back again to handle Harlingen South, 52-41.
Boerne returned on Saturday and played one more game, defeating Southwest Legacy in a close one, 49-43.
