The Bobcat basketball team traveled down Highway 27 to face Center Point on Tuesday and came away with a convincing victory after doubling up the Pirates, 84-42.
It’s Comfort’s first win of the season and improves the Cats to 1- 3 on the season. CHS is entered in the Harper Tournament this weekend.
Comfort had a good start and went up 23-10 in the first quarter. Center Point outscored the Cats in the second, 17-14, but Comfort was still ahead at the break by 10 points, 37-27.
The Cats pulled away in the third by winning the quarter 20-11 and opened up a 57-38 lead going into the final period.
Comfort kept its foot on the gas pedal in the fourth and outscored Center Point, 27-4.
CHS had four in double figures after Santos Hernandez scored 15, Landon Aguirre added 12, Jaydin Steward had 11 and Ollie Engleman netted 10.
Eli Gilliland scored 8, Terick Rodriguez and Jovani Zapata both netted 6, Joel Lozano and Adolfo Campos tallied 5, Noah Southwick finished with 4 and Issac Duran had 2.
