Doris Clark Schwarz, born on Oct. 30, 1941, in Floresville, TX, passed away on Nov. 21, 2022 in Boerne, TX, at the age of 81. She is preceded in death by her husband Alfred “Glenn” Schwarz, and parents Delma and Earlene
(Pruet) Clark. Doris is survived by her sons Richard D. Schwarz (wife Esmeralda) and Stephen W. Schwarz (wife Kim). She leaves behind ten grandchildren: Davis Schwarz, Margaret “Maggie” Fisher, Candice Villanueva, Sasha Burt, Cody McNeal, Corey Schwarz, Roger Schwarz, Aliya Garcia, Aidan Schwarz and Nadia Schwarz. She also has eight great-grandchildren: Bennett, Laney, Ernest, Mia, Kyle, Pennelopi, Abrihana, and Marianna. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces & nephews, extended family, and friends.
Doris grew up in Putnam, TX, and was a graduate of Boerne High School in 1959. From there she went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate from Southwest Texas State in 1963. She was a beloved teacher in the Boerne schools for 20 years, the majority of that time teaching geometry at Boerne High School until her retirement in 2000. She always enjoyed running into her former students wherever she would go.
Doris was cremated according to her wishes and will eventually be interred alongside her husband Glenn in Sisterdale Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 2:00pm at the Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home Chapel.
