BOERNE— Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries will celebrate GivingTuesday with millions of others around the world for a global giving day Nov. 29. GivingTuesday kicks-off the generosity season, and HCDBM aims to continue to “give hope” by uniting and equipping people with food, resources and training to transform lives through Christ.
You can make sure there is somewhere our neighbors can go to get help. You can help ensure they not only receive food, but they also meet someone who will listen with compassion and the love of Christ, providing resources, encouragement and a mentor when needed.
With rising inflation, families face the impossible choice between paying bills or buying food. “Due to inflation, we have seen a more than 24 percent growth in registering for our mentoring program, and emergency requests for food are up 66 percent! This community has helped this Ministry bless our neighbors with food and resources, but the needs continue and donations during GivingTuesday support a significant part of our year-end fundraising,” stated Agnes Hubbard, Co-Founder and Executive Director of HCDBM.
To support programs that aid families in eight counties, a donation envelope has been provided for your convenience in today’s paper, or you can scan the QR code and go directly to the online donation page. With your gift today, you can ensure that HCDBM is prepared for anyone in need of help and you can ensure that no one will be turned away.
Your gifts transform lives. HCDBM is so grateful to live in a community where people care, the love of Christ abounds, and second chances are possible. Thank you for your support of HCDBM and your neighbors.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. GivingTuesday is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries was founded in 2000 as a calling upon David and Agnes Hubbard and began in a garage. The non-profit Ministry now sits on a 10-acre tract of land, serving eight counties with office and warehouse space to sustain its Christ-centered Family Mentoring Program, StandByMe Program for at-risk youth, and Community Resource Program, to supply free food and health supplies to local non-profit organizations.
