The Geneva School of Boerne boys basketball team was entered in the Tomball Rosehill Tournament last weekend and won all four of its games to take first place at the event.
The Eagles turned in a 4-0 mark to win the tourney and improved its record to 5-1 overall.
Geneva was scheduled to play two games Monday of this week, both at New Braunfels Christian School. They took on Austin Regents and then NB Christian in a doubleheader.
After that, the Eagles are off until Nov. 29, when they host St. Mary’s Hall.
Geneva opened up last week’s tourney with a 61-40 victory over Legacy Prep on Thursday.
On Friday, the Eagles flew past International Leadership of Texas or Aggie Home School Basketball, 63-48, after trailing by 2 points at halftime.
Also on Friday, the Eagles beat Conroe Covenant, 53-45, after being down by 10 points in the first half. The win against Conroe Covenant advanced Geneva to the title game where they were trailing for the third straight time but managed to win.
In the championship game, the Eagles were down by 12 but rallied to beat Kinkaid for the tourney title, 49-47, after scoring 20 points in the third quarter alone.
