The Geneva School of Boerne girls basketball team stayed unbeaten this year, but barely, after the Eagles edged St. Michael’s by just a point.

Geneva came out on top last Friday in Austin, 41-40, and improved to 3-0. The Eagles were scheduled to visit San Antonio Christian on Tuesday and then play in the Cornerstone Tournament this weekend.

Maegen Riebel and Kyra Petty paced Geneva by dropping in 14 points apiece in Friday’s game to score 28 combined. Riebel and Petty also made it a double-double after Riebel grabbed 12 rebounds and Petty pulled down 10 boards.

Brynn Riebel added 7 points and Hailey Kirchner tallied 4 points. Brynn Riebel came up with 5 steals, Maegan Riebel had 3 steals, while Bethany Deluna led the team in assists with 3.

Petty, Maegan Riebel and Madeline Egbert all dished out 2 assists in the game.
