Lady Charger golfers at White Wing Invitational

The Boerne Champion girls golf team competed at the White Wing Invitational last weekend and the Lady Chargers finished sixth in the field of 20 teams.

The Boerne Champion girls golf team competed at the White Wing Invitational last weekend and the Lady Chargers finished sixth in the field of 20 teams.

Champion tallied a 669 over two days after shooting rounds of 335 and 334.

Frisco Centennial shot a 630 (318,312) for first place, Lake Creek was second with a score of 633 (317,316) and Alamo Heights Gold finished third after posting a 652 (341,311).

Savannah Dupre led the Champion team with consecutive rounds of 79 for a 158, Cate Johnson was four strokes back with a 162 after rounds of 82 and 80, Brooke Castillon finished with consecutive rounds of 87 for a 174, Caroline Franz scored a 176 after consecutive rounds of 88 and Camryn Leslie also shot a 176 after shooting rounds of 87 and 89.

Champion was consistent after three of the five Lady Chargers shot the same score on both days.
