Boerne Champion had a tough draw to open the 2022 volleyball playoffs and faced No. 5 state-ranked Rouse Tuesday in Dripping Springs.

Boerne Champion had a tough draw to open the 2022 volleyball playoffs and faced No. 5 state-ranked Rouse Tuesday in Dripping Springs.

The Lady Chargers put up a fight, but the Leander school won in four sets, 25-14, 22-25, 25-13, 25-14.

Champion had a great season and finished with 31 wins. The Lady Chargers wrap up the year at 31-11 and made the playoffs despite several key injuries.

In Tuesday’s match, Ella Coleman finished with 4 kills and 3 digs, Skye Conroy added 3 kills, Erin Fallon served up 2 aces and added 8 assists and 4 digs, Sadie Hoyt finished with 3 digs, Emmy Koke had 2 blocks, Izzy Maszak tallied 18 assists and 3 digs, Raylynn Pitts totaled 4 kills, 1 block and 5 digs, Kelsey Rogers had a team-high in kills with 15 to go with 4 blocks, Gabbie Rossello came up with 15 digs and Ashleigh Williams chipped in with 2 blocks and a kill.

Seniors this year are Emma Wegleitner, Erin Fallon, Sadie Hoyt, Skye Conroy, Izzy Maszak, Lili Dunn, Kelsey Rogers, Ashleigh Williams and Emmy Koke.
