The Geneva School of Boerne boys cross country team competed at the TAPPS 4A state meet held on Monday to cap its 2022 season, while the Lady Eagles had a few individual runners.
The Geneva boys finished 12th out of 25 teams entered in the field at Cottonwood Creek in Waco.
Will Muck had the team’s highest finish after he was 13th in a time of 18:07.6 in the 5K race.
Samuel Siller placed 47th in 19:39.3, Nick Dube posted a 20:39.2 for 79th, Austin Malkowski clocked in with a time of 21:06.4 for 95th and Zachary Petty came in 115th with a time of 22:04 to make up the scoring five.
Christian Vis and Aleksander Dube also raced for the Eagles and Vis completed the course in a time of 23:23.1 and Dube turned in a 23:44.8 to round out the team.
Girls
Grace Detterick led the Eagles in the girls state meet after she ran her two-mile race in a time of 13:14.1 to finish 10th overall, while Aubrey Granstaff also competed and clocked in at 15:47 and Faith Lorenz posted a time of 19:19.4 for the Geneva girls team that only fielded three runners in the race.
