Charlotte Gail Mashburn, age 75, a longtime resident of Boerne, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of Oct. 12, 2022. Charlotte died peacefully in her home of unknown causes.
Charlotte was born on April 1, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, to Velesta Vordenbaum and Henry Mikus. She was an active child who was dearly loved by her mother, father and sister. While attending Edison High School and working at the cosmetics counter, she met David Mashburn. She graduated in 1965 and afterward married David. Soon after, he led her to the Lord. The couple would share 47 years of marriage. David and Charlotte had the type of loving relationship that others dream of. They had one child, Stephen, whom they adored.
Charlotte loved her family and prayed for them daily. She was an active member of Boerne Bible Church, participated in Bible studies, prayer groups and was the church purchaser. She was an amazing cook who loved sharing her recipes and skills at monthly potlucks.
