LAW ENFORCEMENT
The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence which will be decided in court at a later date. BOERNE POLICE DEPARTMENT January 17
7:11 a.m., 150 Medical Dr.- A woman reported hearing a man yelling for help, but officers walked the area and heard nothing.
9:46 a.m., 33125 I-10 W.- A former employee reportedly cut the gate to the business to take his tools and move his truck, but he hit another vehicle in the process.
1:58 p.m., 35000 I-10 W.- A woman was concerned about “security” at the Comfort Inn because she was going to be terminating an employee that day.
2:59 p.m., 210 N. Main St.- A manager at The Dienger thought someone threw a rock through one of the business’ windows. However, a woman had fallen, and her hand had gone through the window as she fell. She was treated by a nurse at the scene.
4:01 p.m., 700 N. School St.- A woman reported flowers were stolen from her husband’s gravesite.
7:57 p.m., 500 block Graham- A woman was concerned cats were being stolen from her neighborhood, including her own.
Officers also conducted six security checks, made 19 traffic stops, assisted the public 13 times and worked two false alarms, three non-injury accidents and one animal call.
January 18
10:32 a.m., 100 block S. Esser Rd.- A “heavyset” bald man driving a white truck was following two students, and someone stuck money and a taco out one of the windows.
2:06 p.m., 451 N. Main St.- A homeless woman was outside the library yelling at people. When someone told her to stop, she spit in their face and left the scene.
6:49 p.m., 600 block Adler Rd.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop.
9:15 p.m., 10 block FM 1376- Two individuals were detained, and one man was arrested during a traffic stop.
Officers also conducted 15 security checks, made 27 traffic stops, assisted the public 15 times and worked three false alarms and four non-injury accidents.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE January 17
12:08 a.m., 100 block Hwy 87 N.- A man was upset when a deputy told him to stop camping on private property, saying the deputy was harassing him. The deputy told him to sleep at the Love’s Travel Stop or Walmart. Not behind a church.
1:53 a.m., 100 block River View Dr.- A resident was concerned about a teenager he met through a gaming group chat who was sending messages about wanting to “take out people.”
10:49 a.m., 20 block Sattler Rd.- A man reported his gate lock was cut and his Kawasaki mule was missing. He said he last saw the vehicle two weeks prior.
12:03 p.m., Hight and Eighth streets- A man in his 20s was seen holding a garbage back and drinking wine.
Deputies also made 19 traffic stops, assisted the public 13 times, removed a traffic hazard, served a warrant and worked four animal calls and three reckless drivers.
January 18
7:15 a.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- An inmate transport vehicle began leaking gas while moving prisoners. A juvenile inmate was transported to the Kendall County jail until another transport vehicle could pick him up.
10:05 a.m., 100 block Possum Creek Rd.- A woman wanted to ensure the Drug Enforcement Agency wasn’t going to arrest her elderly father after someone claiming to be with the law enforcement agency called him. Deputies let her know it was a scam.
12:36 p.m., 700 block High St.- A resident was concerned about a man wandering in the area because they asked if he needed food or money, but he ignored them. A deputy located the man who seemed fine.
