It’s been a season of individual milestones for the Boerne High girls basketball team this year.
BHS coach Amy Ruede earned her 300th win in January and two players hit personal milestones last week as well.
Last Friday, Jamie Ruede scored the 1,500th point of her Greyhound career, and in the previous game, Averi Aaron hit her 1,000th point.
BHS won both games, dumping Davenport on Friday, 69-16, and beating Bandera on Tuesday, 80-17.
The Lady Greyhounds are 6-1 in district and 26-4 overall. They visit Canyon Lake Tuesday and then host Fredericksburg for the 28-4A title on Friday.
Vs. Davenport
Averi Aaron led the team with 25 points, Jamie Ruede finished with 14 and Abby Smith scored 10. Jenna Ruede tallied 8, Liz Fox netted 3, while Leila Johnson, Savannah Salinas, Karson Kurtz and Sushanna Cobb all chipped in with 2.
Aaron made it a double-double with 14 rebounds, Jamie Ruede dished out 5 assists and came up with 3 steals as she reached her milestone, while Jordyn Lemm recorded 4 steals and a block.
Vs. Bandera
Boerne beat Bandera 80-17 and Averi Aaron hit the 1,000-point milestone after she finished with 26 points on Tuesday. The sophomore had 16 points by halftime when she reached the milestone.
Jamie Ruede netted 16 points and Jordyn Lemm finished with 12 to make it three in double figures.
Hannah Rocchio and Abby Smith tallied 8 points apiece, Sushanna Cobb finished with 4, while Leila Johnson, Savannah Salinas and Liz Fox all chipped in with 2.
Rocchio grabbed 9 rebounds and Aaron snagged 8 boards, Ruede dished out 8 assists, Lemm recorded 7 assist, while Ruede and Smith both came up with 5 steals each.
