After a non- district match with Blanco last Friday, the Geneva School of Boerne volleyball team returned to district play Tuesday with a match against Holy Cross.

Tuesday’s match was tied at 1-1 after two sets but the Lady Eagles captured the last two over the Lady Knights to secure the win.

Geneva picked up the 25-13, 19-25, 25-14, 25-13 victory and improves to 16-15 overall and 2-1 in district. The Eagles continued league play Thursday at Corpus Christi John Paul II. For more on that match, see Wednesday’s Boerne Star.

In Tuesday’s match, Karynn Garrow finished with 33 kills, 22 digs, 2 aces, 1 assist and 1 block, Ella Owens tallied 42 assists, 7 digs and 2 aces, Ella Babic recorded 13 kills and 9 digs, Avery Eggerss came up with 13 digs, Kenzie Cates added 7 digs and 2 aces, Emily Coultress and Abby Bower both had 4 digs, Lilly Kaiser finished with 8 digs, Cammy Curtis added 2 kills and 2 assists and Ally Turgon had a dig.
