Both the Boerne Champion and Boerne High volleyball teams opened district play Friday evening with home matches.
Champion was hosting Veterans Memorial and swept the Lady Patriots in three, 25-12, 25-15, 25-11, to open 26-5A play at 1-0.
The Chargers are 23-5 overall and host Seguin Tuesday in Boerne.
