LAW ENFORCEMENT

The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. August 18

7:59 a.m., 200 block Turner- A woman reported threatening emails she received against the school and students. She was the principal of the BISD school.

11:04 a.m., 100 block Cheslyn- A woman said she was being harassed by someone in New Hampshire.

11:17 a.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- A Boerne High student was transported to Methodist Hospital after having an allergic reaction to peanut butter.

2:47 p.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- A student at Boerne High was found to be in possession of a vape pen.

3:14 p.m., 1265 N. Main St.- An owner at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home reported receiving a disturbing email through the company’s email account.

3:57 p.m., 400 Rosewood- A woman wanted to know what the rules were about using an electric scooter on city streets.

4:11 p.m., 121 Old San Antonio Rd.- A juvenile resident at Roy Maas ran away but was found a couple hours later.

 

August 19

1:09 a.m., 200 block W. San Antonio Ave.- An officer was concerned when he noticed a man took off running after spotting the officer.

1:14 a.m., 400 block W. Bandera Rd.- An individual was arrested during a traffic stop.

11:28 a.m., 100 block Lone Star- A woman reported her husband was looking at child pornography.

11:38 a.m., 800 block Johns Rd.- A man without a shirt was in the road yelling and pulling his hair, and a passerby was afraid he would jump off the bridge.

2:16 p.m., 124 Old San Antonio Rd.- A truck driver arriving in Boerne that evening wanted to know where it was legal to park the 18-wheeler.

3:20 p.m., 201 Charger Blvd.- A woman was reported as having a seizure at Champion High, but the school nurse cancelled medics shortly after.

5:06 p.m., 100 block Old San Antonio Rd.- A woman reported a man she had a protective order against facetimed her. The man called officers to say he accidentally dialed her while trying to forward her contact information to his attorney, and no contact was made.

6:21 p.m., 124 Old San Antonio Rd.- A man was upset he never got his knife or cash back after his arrest.

11:50 p.m., 100 block Cheslyn- A 17-year-old boy’s attempt to scare his family was successful as his mother dialed 911 thinking someone broke into their home.

 

August 20

8:56 a.m., 124 Old San Antonio Rd.- A man expressing interest in working as a police officer had some questions for Boerne officers.

10:48 a.m., 701 S. Main St.- Someone shot the front of Fetch and Friskers with a paintball gun.

2:44 p.m., 115 W. Bandera Rd.- A woman offering community service at the Hill Country Animal League said a man came in the day before and made all the female workers uncomfortable.

5:03 p.m., 420 W. Bandera Rd.- A manager at H-E-B wanted to report shoplifters who had already left the store.

8:01 p.m., 448 S. Main St.- A man reported his license plate and bike accessories were stolen off his motorcycle while he was inside a busines.

 

August 21

7:12 a.m., 35000 I-10 W.- An employee at Comfort Inn & Suites reported “some type of drug pipe” was left in the back of the motel.

10:47 a.m., 524 Adler Rd.- A woman reported vulgar vandalism was left at the city skate park which concerned her because young children visit the park.

10:49 a.m., 701 Oak Park Dr.- A 70-year-old woman was lying under a man’s car, and a 45-year-old man was yelling at the caller saying they were going to sue him.

4:30 p.m., 37550 I-10 W.- A man approached a woman’s house with his dog, saying he needed a ride to Kerrville after his friend left him at Northup Park. Officers reviewed footage she had of the incident and found nothing suspicious happened. The man simply needed a ride and asked if he could leave his dog there.

11:50 p.m., 435 W. Bandera Rd.- A man reported large machinery behind Denny’s. He said a group of people that were surrounding the machinery took off when he approached them. Officers found no machinery.

 

August 22

7:31 a.m., 100 block Sage Canyon- A 33-year-old woman was taken to the emergency room for a rapid heartrate. She called her mother in the UK beforehand saying if she didn’t hear from her daughter within 24 hours, her husband killed her. Someone from the Texas Attorney General’s Office asked officers to investigate the incident. ER Staff were concerned to release the woman o her husband who they described as being very possessive, noting the woman’s heartrate spiked and she became teary-eyed whenever he entered the room

10:51 a.m., 600 block River Rd.- A man reported three people for fishing near the dam. Officers found they were fishing from the appropriate area in the creek.

11:26 a.m., 1 Greyhound Lane- A student at Boerne High was found in possession of tobacco.

1:14 p.m., 518 E. Blanco Rd.- Someone walked out on their taco bill at Mary’s Tacos.

 

August 23

7:28 a.m., 32880 block I-10 W.- A man wanted officers to speak with his 16-year-old son who had been destructive in the past.

10:08 a.m., 600 block W. Bandera Rd.- A man reported his wallet had been stolen, and his card was subsequently used at a store in Boerne.

10:16 a.m., 825 Johns Rd.- A man reported his wife for taking his service dog the day before.

5:18 p.m., 825 Johns Rd.- A man was tired of a teenage boy playing loud music in his vehicle at the apartment complex every day.

5:45 p.m., 29085 Ralph Fair Rd.- The principal of Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary called 911 saying the father of a child at the school was showing other parents porn during a parent-teacher conference. The man was arrested.

 

August 24

6:52 a.m., 100 block Abbeydell- The caretaker of a 31-year-old man called 911 when he refused to take his meds and began cursing at her.

8:50 a.m., 400 block English Oaks- A man asked officers to come speak to his 16-year-old son who doesn’t listen.

12:56 p.m., 451 N. Main St.- A man was scaring library volunteers by the way he was speaking.

12:57 p.m., 7900 block Fair Oaks Parkway- A jeep was reported burglarized while parked in front of the fitness center.

6:08 p.m., 1440 River Rd.- A 50-year-old woman was bleeding from her head after an altercation.

August 18

7:32 a.m., Ranger Creek and Turkey Knob roads- A black bull escaped his home and took a stroll down the street.

10:56 a.m., 36900 block I-10 W.- An employee with Bell Hydrogas had an alcohol level of .118 when he went to a local med clinic. The employee then drove back to work in his personal vehicle where he was arrested.

5:34 p.m., 6 Staudt St.- Kerr County deputies called local deputies claiming a Kendall County patrol vehicle flipped its siren on at someone and quickly turned them back off.

5:51 p.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- Someone dumped several gallons of chemicals at the Love’s Travel Stop without permission, and the manager wasn’t happy about it.

8:48 p.m., 100 block Cibolo Ave.- A 42-year-old woman and her 50-year-old boyfriend were arguing, so the woman’s sister called 911. While the disturbance didn’t appear to get physical, the man did have a warrant for his arrest out of Kendall County.

 

August 19

6:46 a.m., 580 Sunflower- A woman called 911 saying her attorney told her she could press charges for past incidents. Dispatchers noted she sounded drunk and was facing felony assault charges.

8:08 a.m., 20 block Blaschke Rd.- Goats got in the roadway. Then, the goats quickly got back inside the fence line.

3:15 p.m., Hwy 87 and Fritz Steeler Ranch- A two-vehicle accident resulted in the death of one passenger.

5:11 p.m., 100 block Amber Dr.- JP Frieda Pressler asked a deputy visit her to give an update on a runaway she reported three weeks prior.

11:24 p.m., 700 block Marquise- Medics transported a 60-year-old man to the hospital after he fell and hit his head, causing him to lose a lot of blood. The man had been dropped off in front of a subdivision by an Uber driver, who reported the man was very drunk and didn’t know his own address. The driver called 911 after dropping the man off because he didn’t know the gate code to his neighborhood, couldn’t walk and seemed to fall as the driver was leaving.

 

August 20

2:14 a.m., 1100 block FM 1376- Three horses and donkey met up in the middle of the road.

9:44 a.m., 100 block Emerald Hill- A man and woman got into a verbal dispute, and the woman began breaking things around their home with a golf club.

12:14 p.m., 1 Resort Way- A woman reported a tagger left graffiti on several objects along Johns Road leading up to Tapatio Springs.

6:24 p.m., 200 block Rusty Lane- A woman reported someone shooting a handgun in the area. When a deputy arrived, all they could hear was a boy dribbling a basketball, which the deputy said was echoing loudly.

9:16 p.m., 300 block Hwy 87 N- A man offered to cow-sit for a cow and its calf which were lose on the state highway.

 

August 21

2:06 a.m., 100 block Mountain View Trail- An anonymous caller reported a party with underage drinking in the area after his daughter told him about it after she left the party. A deputy went by and didn’t see anyone outside, heard no loud music and didn’t see any alcohol containers outside. The deputy described the scene as having an “atmosphere (that) was quiet and dark.”

7:40 a.m., 200 block Hwy 46 W.- A van rolled over, leaving three individuals bleeding from the head.

2:44 p.m., 100 block Majestic Oaks Dr.- Eight metal flowers were taken from a woman’s yard, and she wanted to make sure deputies knew things were being stolen in the area.

2:56 p.m., 50 block Hwy 87 N.- When a deputy went to check out a report that man was harvesting a deer in the driveway of a local business, the man began yelling at the deputy and approaching them while waiving the knife around. The man was yelling about buzzards and the sheriff’s office taking his other butcher’s knife. The man walked away still complaining and yelling.

10:18 p.m., 300 block Sattler Rd.- A black bull outsmarted both local deputies and animal control, with one deputy noting he was “smarter than the average bovine and cunning.” All the county’s men couldn’t get the bovine fenced again.

 

August 22

12:52 a.m., 43 Hwy 87 N.- A man was arrested after roaming the Love’s Travel Stop for some time, entering employee-only areas. The arrest was noted as being drug related.

5:49 a.m., 400 block Hwy 46 E.- A fight ensued between a man and woman after the woman asked the man about the status of their one-month relationship. While the woman initially accused the man of the disturbance, dispatchers noted he was on the other line and sounded calm while she could be heard screaming and yelling. The man said she became destructive after the conversation, destroying things in the home.

8:46 p.m., 10 block FM 1621- A resident suspected a man was “dealing” from his home because of increased traffic in the area.

 

August 23

9:25 a.m., 200 block Bluebonnet Dr.- First a woman suspected her daughter was trying to break into her house from underneath. Then she said someone was being stabbed in her backyard. Deputies alerted a mental health officer.

12:35 p.m., 100 block Main St.- A mother tried to report her 18-year-old daughter as a runaway. The daughter informed deputies she moved out voluntarily and did not wish to return to her mother’s house.

8:18 p.m., 6 Staudt St.- A man in Odessa attempted to buy auto parts from a shop near Houston, but somehow ended up talking to Kendall County deputies about the potentially fraudulent activity.

 

August 24

7:24 a.m., Remington and Winchester- A five-donkey gang took to the streets, roaming the roads.

9:58 a.m., 39310 block I-10 W.- A man reported his truck was stolen sometime overnight.

1:13 p.m., 100 block Flint Rock- A man wanted to report fraudulent activity after his soon-to-be-ex-wife sent between $12,000 and $20,000 to what she believes to be a legitimate charity online from the divorcing couple’s joint account.
