Deer down TMI as Davis ties school record for kills

Comfort defeated TMI – Episcopal Tuesday at home and one of the Deer players tied a school record for most kills in a match.

Comfort won in four sets over the Panthers, 25-18, 25-16, 27-29, 25-16, and Meghan Davis recorded 22 kills in Tuesday’s win.

Davis now shares the kills school record with Deer volleyball players, Emily Martinez who recorded 22 kills against Jarrell on Oct. 28, 2014, and with Ricki Jean Myers who posted 22 kills against San Antonio McCollum on Sept. 20, 2011.

Davis added 10 digs to her kill total but on any other night, Hope Van Geffen would have been the story as she flirted with a triple-double after she tallied 10 kills, 10 digs, and 8 aces.

Comfort is 14-7 after Tuesday’s victory and the Deer visited Geneva School of Boerne on Friday.
