Deer win consolation title at Johnson City tourney
It has been a good tournament season for the Comfort volleyball team so far. After winning two tournaments, the Deer took the consolation title at Johnson City last weekend. Comfort High was entered in the Johnson City volleyball tournament where the Deer had a strong showing and won the consolation title.

Comfort went 3-3 at the tourney and stands at 13-7 overall. The Deer won two tournaments this year and now took a consolation title.

Comfort was at home Tuesday to host TMI-Episcopal and then visits Geneva School of Boerne on Friday for a 5 p.m. match.

CHS opened on Friday with a two-set loss to Blanco, 25-14, 25-15. Later in the day, the Deer lost to Jarrell in two sets, 26-24, 25-23, before bouncing back to beat Marble Falls, 25-11, 25-21 after Meghan Davis finished with 10 kills and 10 digs and Molly Hamilton added 15 assists.

After going 1-2 the first day, Comfort returned on Saturday and posted a 2-1 mark. The Deer opened the day with a three-set victory over Llano, 25-22, 17-25, 25-12.

CHS faced Marble Falls and beat the Lady Mustangs again, this time in three sets, 25-17, 20-25, 25-17. The Deer also lost to Cameron Yoe, 25-14, 25-21.
