KERRVILLE – Three of the county’s football teams held their first scrimmages of the season last Friday.

The teams have had intersquad scrimmages but on Friday, they were finally able to hit and practice against somebody else.

Boerne High was at Kerrville and looked impressive against the Antlers, dominating them for most of the night and scoring at least six touchdowns, while only giving up one.

There’s one final scrimmage for the Greyhounds when they host Liberty Hill on Thursday.

Comfort was at Center Point for a scrimmage on Friday and then hosts Bandera for another scrimmage this Thursday before opening the regular season next week at home.

Geneva School of Boerne visited Hondo on Friday and will tangle with Harper this week before opening the regular season at home next week.

Champion just began holding workouts last week and will participate in its only scrimmage of the year Thursday at Heroes Stadium against Churchill.
