Mary (Ida) Wells-Bunch
January 15, 1938 – July 19, 2022
With deep sadness, our beautiful mom, sister, grandmother and cherished friend to many, Mary (Ida) Wells-Bunch, went home to her Lord and Savior’s loving arms on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the age of 84. Born January 15, 1938, she is survived by her adult children and brother and their extended families to include grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a long list of furry family pets she loved and cherished all the days of her life.
As a faithful servant throughout her life in serving and caring for others, she will be greatly missed in so many ways by her loved ones and friends who really knew how special of a lady she was. A beloved mom often described as the “rock” or “backbone” for the family members who remained close, she had an indelible and deep impact on our lives in so many ways, but none more than her love and faith for Jesus and her proudness to proclaim His blessings for all to hear. It’s this foundation that assures us of her eternal life and our salivation to reunite in joyous celebration.
We believe in our hearts that she is now singing and dancing in Heaven with a new healed body and spirit praising Jesus with all her might!
Until then, we find some comfort to turn today’s sorrow to God’s promise while we live our remaining days on earth without this beautiful irreplaceable earthly angel by our side.
Even in the latter years of her life, she was always willing to help others in their time of need, often providing a simple prayer for peace and safety as we set forth on our daily journey that will be so sorely missed. She was a proud lady who didn’t have much in the form of possessions but was incredibly blessed and rich with outwardly love, grace and forgiveness to all. She had a special one-of-a-kind heart that despite her flaws offered a perfect love to so many. We will miss her deeply but give thanks and gratitude to our God for giving us the time we had and the blessing to call her mom!
There will be a visitation held on July 28, 2022, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home followed by private burial ceremony in Lytle, Texas, to lay her remains next to her parents.
Please send flowers to Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home or please consider a tribute to our mom and best friend by making a donation to any local area animal shelter. This will make her smile as her furry family members were a big part of her entire life.
