Champion baseball has nine players named all-district

A total of nine Champion baseball players made this year’s all-district list as voted upon by the 28-4A coaches.

Senior Ryan Brandon was the team’s lone first-team selection after Brandon was a first-team outfielder.

Senior Karson Kaiser and senior Cooper Marshall were both second-team pitchers, while six other Chargers were named honorable mention.

Sophomore Jordan Ballin, sophomore Quinn Grable, sophomore Gage Goldberg, senior Connor Holtorf, senior Aidan Pickett and senior Jacob Gresham all made the honorable mention list.

Champion finished the year at 16-11 overall and went 8-8 in district. The Chargers went into the last week of the regular season with a chance at a playoff spot but weren’t able to come up with the victories needed to advance to the postseason.
