The Boerne Champion boys soccer team picked up its first win of the season Friday when they hosted Memorial and the Chargers did it in a big way.

Champion reached double-digit goals and won the match, 10-1. The Chargers are 1-1-2 overall and open district play Tuesday when they host New Braunfels Canyon.

Hayden Landis and Calvin Perryman both knocked in 2 goals, Noah Sherman, Mathew Duran, Crew Pulliam, Jack Weltens, Gabe Hernandez and Camden Vicknair all recorded 1 goal each.

Pulliam recorded 3 assists, Vicknair had 2, while Hernandez and Landis both picked up 1 assist each.

Mario Cervantes was in goal for the Chargers on Friday.
