Maria Hinojosa
December 28, 1941 – June 8, 2022
Maria Hinojosa passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 8, 2022. Maria was born on December 28, 1941, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Fernando and Ruth Dempsey.
Maria graduated from Fox Tech High School then continued her education at the UT Health Science Center, where she became a dental assistant and worked for Dr. Neil for over 23 years until her retirement.
Maria was always an active member in the church and bible study. In addition, she was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved all of her dogs over the years.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Ruth Dempsey; and her brother, Kenneth Dempsey.
Maria is survived by her husband, Jesse D. Hinojosa Sr.; her children and step-children, Richard Dempsey, Sylvia Carrizales and Susanne Hinojosa and their spouses, Jesse D. Hinojosa Jr. and Floyd Hinojosa; along with 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her cousins, Tony Guion and Terry Guion Plumley.
Arrangements have been made with Ebsensberger-Fisher Funeral Home, 111 Rosewood Ave. Boerne, TX, 78006. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022.
