The Boerne High boys basketball team capped a great season and had a total of nine members earn all-district awards, while a few of the Greyhound players also picked up several additional postseason awards.

The Boerne High boys basketball team capped a great season and had a total of nine members earn all-district awards, while a few of the Greyhound players also picked up several additional postseason awards.

Two of the Hounds earned district superlative awards after senior Devin Styles was named the 28-4A MVP and junior Houston Hendrix was named the Defensive MVP of the district.

Four Greyhounds landed on the first team after junior Barrett Pape, junior Koen Wolff, junior Trevor Agarwal and senior Preston Thompson made it, while junior Sam Waters was a second-team pick and junior Josh Hines and junior Colton Hoegemeyer both earned honorable mention status.

Also for the Hounds, Devin Styles was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State Team, while Styles and Houston Hendrix were named to the TABC All-Region Team.

Styles was also selected for the TABC All-Star Game and Styles and Preston Thompson were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team and Thompson and Styles also played in the Chicken Express All-Star Game with Styles hitting the game-winning shot.

Boerne High finished the year at 32-7 and made its second straight appearance at the 4A state tournament.

The Hounds went 10-0 in 28-4A to secure its fifth district title in a row and 10th in the last 13 seasons.

Boerne beat Somerset for the Region IV-4A title in Kingsville and advanced to the state tourney in the Alamodome where they fell to Wichita Falls Hirschi in the state semifinals, 63-57, to end the year.
