June 20, 1936 – May 1, 2022
David William (Bill) Price, age 85 and 10 months, left this world suddenly May 1, 2022, after a brief hospital stay with his daughter, Dana, at his side.
Bill was born in Teague, Texas, June 20, 1936, to Anlin Sims Price and Edward Olington Price. He grew up in Teague and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1958 with a BS in mechanical engineering. He went to work the month after graduation for Phillips Petroleum where he was employed 35 years until retiring in 1993.
He met his soulmate, Frankeen Frantz, on a blind date in Kansas City, Missouri. Six months later, they were married in Kansas City on July 17, 1959. They have two daughters, Dana Price Roby, born in Kansas City, and Debra Price, born in Bountiful, Utah.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He was caring and generous, always willing to help with a smile.
After retirement, he enjoyed creating metal sculptures, donating many to charity auctions. He liked competing at Bridge and golf and visiting with friends.
He was preceded by his parents and brother E.O. Price Jr.
Bill was passionate about his family; his loving example will live on in the hearts of those who follow. He is survived by his sister, Hugh Ann Price Bankhead, of Mexia, Texas; two nieces and three nephews.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughters; two wonderful sons-in-law, Terry Roby and Ross Van Noordt; four grandchildren, Carla Roby Norman, Cayla Roby Northrup, Blake Montag and Alexandria Montag; and five precious great-granddaughters.
He leaves his beloved goldendoodle, Rusty, to watch over Frankeen and keep her company until she joins him.
Instead of flowers, contributions to Kronkosky Place Meals on Wheels, located at 17 San Antonio Road, Boerne, TX 78006 are suggested.
